Donald L. Wolff (1935-2015) Biography

Mr. Wolff served as a legal consultant to KMOX radio and KSDK TV, had been a member of the Board of Directors for Boys and Girls Town of Missouri, Chairman of the Board for ACLU, President of the Big Brother Organization of Greater St. Louis, Past counsel for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America, Member Board of Trustees for Law School Foundation, University of Missouri, General Counsel to ACLU, Harris-Stowe State College Board of Regents, Municipal Judge for the City of Creve Coeur, General Counsel to the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis and he also served on the Advisory Committee for the Family Violence Project, National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.

Mr. Wolff had been Of Counsel to the firm following his retirement. He continued to be active in the law business and passionate about his love for jazz. The Wolff Jazz Institute at Harris-Stowe State College is built around recordings and memorabilia Mr. Wolff and his wife donated in 2002.

Mr. Wolff’s radio show “I Love Jazz” aired on various stations, including KMOX, from the mid-1990s to 2008, when it became a TV show on HEC-TV.

Mr. Wolff passed away November 20, 2015 following a long battle with leukemia.
